A cross-platform application and UI framework
Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework designed to make developers' lives easier. With Qt you can efficiently develop advanced, web-enabled applications and user interfaces that run across desktop, mobile and embedded operating systems without rewriting the source code. Industry leaders including Google, Skype, HP, Samsung and Asus use Qt to innovate and build on their market leadership.
Movial designed and implemented a next generation set-top box 3D demonstration that delivers amazing graphics and a fully connected user experience. The company used the Qt framework to develop the demo’s highly usable 3D user interface that leverages the power of the ARM Mali Graphics processor and ST-Ericsson’s U8500 hardware platform to provide stunning graphics and effects. The Qt WebKit Integration powers Movial IXS Browser that brought rich Internet capabilities and connected use cases to the demonstration.
“Qt reduces development time with its cross-platform abstractions and helper classes which extend well even to the more demanding and exacting world of 3D user interfaces, leveraging the power of the ARM Mali Graphics processor and ST-Ericsson’s U8500 hardware platform to provide stunning graphics and effects. We are going to continue using and contributing to Qt and improving its suitability and performance as the first-class base for our varied and challenging projects that often break traditional boundaries.”
